11/9/19- One day after being informed of our impending doom.

Forrest Larkson

Updated: Dec 3, 2019

Fun Fact About Me: I am NOT a night person. Ghosts are crazy at night! I used to try and talk to ghosts at night, but they get all their energy then, so naturally, it didn't work. You can find me running around like a mad person at 9 am, but never at 9 pm.

Hinkly's thoughts for the day- I like to take down trees. Ok, ok, so I know that's bad. Trees are great alive. They are beautiful and provide humans with oxygen or whatever. If it weren't for Forrest, the only human I care about, then I'd take down all the trees! What? It's fun!

Tips for becoming friends with ghosts #1- Don't try join in ghost parties without permission. You'll end up flat on your face in the mud if you do. Wait until you're invited to get with the in-crowd.

Today wasn't a normal one. Which honestly, is saying something coming from a ghost whisperer, where days aren't usually normal.

However, today was different. It was more than just seeing Hinkly by my side or hearing conversations of other ghosts around me, and trying not to feel guilty for eavesdropping. No... today felt darker. Ominous in the way that make chills wrack down your spine and your heart race, realizing something terrible is coming.

Ever since late last night, when I was informed that the ghosts of our world are planning a revolt against humans, it's been hard to see things the same way.

I spent an extra amount of time in the forest today, counting the trees that have been forced to fall by angry or overly excited ghosts. I got at least a dozen after my two hour patrol, not to mention the ones Hinkly saw as he floated over the forests near my school.

It was hard to concentrate on the mundane doings of normal people's lives after that, going to the mall and picking up Auntie Anne's barely distracting me from my task at hand. Which is, to find out how to stop this apocalypse or at the very least, how to survive it.

Only, I just don't know how I am going to do that yet.

Then this evening, I encountered a freak storm in the fields off of the gym on my campus. It was sunny one second, and the next I was in a cone of rain, only reaching the tips of the field and then stopping suddenly.

I realize, of course, that this means the ghosts know I know. I'm not surprised. Not really. I mean I knew they'd find out eventually I know about their plans, I just never expected it to be so soon. So soon in fact, that I haven't even spiced out the details yet.

Oh well. I've been running from angry ghosts all my life. What's a few... million.... more?

I'm used to running in the dark.
